When a customer came to Alpha Packaging with a request for a unique oval-shaped bottle with an 8-ounce capacity, the package designers at Alpha Technology Center developed a series of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) ovals that met its needs. One of the designs, called the Domed Oval, is now available as a stock bottle from Alpha.

Alpha’s PET Domed Oval features a different shoulder profile than either of its existing lines of ovals (Capri Ovals and Vale Ovals). The new Domed Oval style is ideal for personal care products, household cleaners and antibacterial gels.

Alpha will stock the 8-ounce Domed Oval in clear. Stock and custom colors can be ordered with small minimums and very reasonable lead times. Customers can also order PET Domed Ovals made from recycled (post-consumer) PET; 50,000-piece minimums apply to post-consumer resins (PCR).

The 8-ounce Domed Oval was built from Alpha’s 25.8 gram 24-410 PET preform, one of approximately 4 dozen PET preforms Alpha can use to quickly and economically develop new bottles styles. If you are interested in other sizes of this Domed Oval style, speak with your Alpha Sales Representative.
